KMTN & present "Downtown Shakedown on the Square" - a free community benefit for Friends of Pathways. For this event, The Deadlocks, a Jackson Hole based band shall perform three sets of music in the heart of Downtown Jackson in the Town Park. Beer and wine shall be served compliments of ,Snake River Brewing, with proceeds going to Friends of Pathways. Community Members and Families shall enjoy the character of the Town Square during this unique and exciting event. The show is being organized by the group “Gettin’ Down, Town!”.

The Deadlocks, while Jackson based, are a regionally-touring band which faithfully replicates the sound of the Grateful Dead throughout the years. They're fresh off a Targhee Fest appearance which was met with rave reviews, and they'll be following up their Town Square show with a return to Jackson in late September for a two-night run with David Gans of the nationally syndicated “Grateful Dead Hour”.

"Downtown Shakedown" is the brainchild of The Deadlocks members and “Gettin’ Down, Town!” founders Jed Frumkin and Pete Muldoon, who have been interested for some time in promoting Jackson as a destination for live music. Seeking a means of engage the over-30 demographic to experience some of the great music that Jackson has to offer without having to spend late nights in bars or driving out of town or the state, Getting, Down,Town hopes that this event will open the door to more community-based free music. Participants believe that events such as this will reinforce a new tourist draw, replacing the construction industry as a driver of the local economy.

"Downtown Shakedown" is an all ages event, and is free to everyone. Beer shall be provided by Snake River Brewery, and any proceeds from sales will be donated to Friends Of Pathways. Everyone is encouraged to walk or ride bikes to the show and see what downtown Jackson has to offer on foot.
